Terms of Use
Your use of the Celare app is governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with the terms below.
Your data is your responsibility
Celare encrypts your files so that only you can open them. That also means:
- There is no backdoor and no password reset. If you lose both your pattern and your recovery phrase, your data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
- Keep your recovery phrase written down somewhere safe. We recommend turning on Encrypted iCloud Backup.
- Celare is not a replacement for keeping other backups of files you can’t afford to lose.
Celare Pro
- Celare Pro is offered as a lifetime purchase or as an auto-renewing yearly or weekly subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
- If Pro ends, everything you’ve stored stays accessible. You just can’t add more beyond the free limits.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Celare to store or share content that is illegal where you live.
